The trip from Winneba to Cape Coast was very relaxing for me until we got near the city. The stress kicked in because the traffic picked up and the noise level increased 100 fold! The trip took close to 2 hours, and we traveled on an actual highway.
The views were really beautiful, filled with foilage, colorful buildings and miles and miles of farm land. There were many small towns along the way where we could have stopped if necessary. There were food stands as well which offered interesting selections.
I took an Uber from Winneba to Cape Coast and the cost was $100GHC which is around $18. I was pleasantly surprised. I gave the driver a matching tip because he was really awesome. He got me there quickly and safely. Navigating the checkpoints like a champ. Every time we got stopped, I started recording and we were able to proceed without paying the “tourist tax”.
In this video I share the beautiful sights and sounds of the road trip I took from Winneba to Cape Coast, Ghana. I also share a discussion I had with our local brothers and sisters before I checked in to the resort. Enjoy!
